Hatha Yoga and The Chakras with Ali

Tuesdays 10:30-11:45 January 2nd-March 20th

Join Ali for a 12 week journey into the seven main energy centers in the body. Understanding the seven chakras gives us a physical and emotional language to link the body and the mind. This 12 week semester course will open the door to your understanding of these centers in a fun and experiential way. Ali has a way of bringing the most esoteric ideas to life in a very pragmatic way that makes even the most skeptical student eager for more. Each class will start with breath work, then a short discussion about the chakra for the day. The classes will all be energetically and intellectually sequenced in order to deepen the awareness and activation of the various chakras. We will start with the root and work our way up. After the 12 weeks you will come away with a much more profound way to relate your body to your mind. The result of such awareness sets the stage for self-healing.

Yoga for Beginners with Alex Rhea

Friday Morning 10:30-11:45am January 5th-March 23rd

Whether you are completely new to yoga or have an established practice or somewhere in between--this course is designed to bring enrichment to your practice and your life. Build strength and flexibility, learn to observe and be joyous in your body and spirit.  Enjoy opening up new pathways inside and out.  We will slow down in this class to give ourselves the space for mindfulness, in which we witness our bodies, breath, and mind from moment to moment.

Both the beginner and more advanced students will benefit from this class.  By slowing it down we give our nervous system and organs a chance to digest all the daily stimuli and create healthy thought patterns.  Think calmer, more peaceful throughout your daily life.

We visit and revisit the foundations of Yoga: yoga postures, guided breathing techniques, guided meditation, and discussions on yoga philosophy and its application.  The core principles for these practices include integrity, safety, patience, and openness.

Sanskrit and Mantra with James

Friday Evenings 6-7:30pm January 5th-March 23rd

This twelve week series is an introduction into the first language on earth: Sanskrit.  One of the most valuable tools we have as yogis, or aspiring yogis, is our voice. Within the twelve weeks you will learn to chant the Sanskrit alphabet, foundational practices of chanting, in depth learning of Vedic chanting and 3 foundational mantras

Gentle Yoga with Kara

Saturday Mornings 9:30-10:45am  January 6th-March 24th

This class is for students of all levels. The theme of this class is slow and steady wins the race.  This class includes breathing techniques, gentle strength designed to place appropriate stress on the joints and muscles and gentle stretching.  Each class in the series will have an energetic focus and will work to balance the body, mind and spirit!

Therapeutic Yin with Ali

Sunday Evenings 5:30-7pm January 7th-March 25th

This 12-week yin series is an opportunity for you to commit to slowing down and allowing space for your body and mind to be nourished and restored.

All of the poses are done on the floor and are held for a few to several minutes in duration. Within these longer holds, the layers between the muscles are stimulated, which is where the benefits for the joints, tendons, ligaments and internal organs takes place. The joints get rejuvenated within these holds and benefits are felt days after the class. This yin class is designed to stimulate the meridians. The benefits of a yin class are similar to that of acupuncture, minus the needle.

Incorporated in every class will be breathing techniques, guided visualization, and relaxation techniques.

Committing to 12 weeks of this blissful relaxation on a weekly basis is bound to have tremendous effects on your body, mind and spirit!
